Developing a coaching philosophy is important, and that philosophy evolves from a mix of experience, education, mentoring, trial and error, and exposure to great coaches and teachers. At the youngest ages, the philosophy should be consistent with today’s understanding of what is important and appropriate for different age groups. It is VERY frustrating, the current condition of clubs and leagues in some regions. Fortunately we have great information available, especially with technology, and we can learn from other successful programs around the country and around the world.
